Arkantos, héros d’une nouvelle Odyssée ? Emprunts et réécriture épiques dans Age of Mythology (2002-2003)

The present paper offers a specific analysis of the game Age of Mythology and its expansion Age of Mythology : The Titans, respectively released in 2002 and 2003. Around the hero’s figure we propose to identify explicit and implicit references used to build the ancient setting of the game, thanks to various elements internal and external to the game (tabs, dialogues, interviews, etc.). From this corpus, the purpose is to see the contemporary elements which influence this example of reception of Antiquity, but also to replace this production in a wider context characteristic of the representation of Antiquity in the end of the 20th century and in the beginning of the 21st century.
