Eficiência Energética e Sustentabilidade em Universidades
This study investigates the impact of adopting energy efficiency measures at a federal public university, focusing on replacing conventional lamps with LEDs and installing a photovoltaic plant. The research used a quantitative approach, analyzing historical energy consumption data to evaluate the reductions achieved after the interventions. The results show significant energy savings, a significant reduction in operating costs and a reduction in greenhouse gas emissions. In addition to highlighting the environmental benefits, the study also examines the return on investment time, demonstrating the economic viability of these measures. The research highlights the importance of partnerships between educational institutions and companies in the electricity sector to promote innovative projects and develop alternative sources of financing. These results offer a replicable model for other universities seeking to optimize their resources and reduce their environmental impact, promoting sustainability in higher education.
