Telerehabilitation Resources for Educators in Physical Therapy
Abstract Research conducted during the COVID-19 pandemic has demonstrated the use of telehealth in physical therapy is not only necessary, but clinically effective in delivering physical therapy care that expands patient access and choice when it comes to personalized care. Recently, the telehealth literature includes an international clinical practice guideline with 7 recommendations for practitioners and students, 7 educational competencies with telehealth concepts for physical therapy educators, and 7 domains of core quality framework for videoconferencing for physical therapist training. Based on current evidence, the authors present these telerehabilitation resources for physical therapy educators to support education, research, and practice in telehealth.
