Topolectrical Circuit Sensor With the Chiral Disclination States
As a novel form of higher-order topological states, the emergence of disclination states has recently attracted considerable attention. However, those states typically involve the breaking of chiral symmetry and are not protected from deconfinement. To achieve maximum spectral isolation and confinement, we propose a unique zero-energy topological lattice circuit that combines chiral symmetry and point group symmetry, with the disclination states being pinned at mid-gap. We elucidate the pivotal role of chiral symmetry protection by comparing the localization intensity and robustness of the disclination states. More significantly, based on the robustness analysis of that designed structure, we employ topological disclination states to the sensing field for the first time, enabling the sensitive recognition of liquid level and alcohol concentration. It not only enriches the understanding of topological states but also presents a promising innovation path for the future sensor design.
