A Note on the Implementation of the Effective Seismic Input for the Domain Reduction Method

ABSTRACT This article presents a simple procedure for evaluating the effective input forces for the domain reduction method and for incorporating these forces into commercial or other production-quality finite-element codes in which access to the element impedance matrices is not readily available.
