Algorithm for transformer selection with minimum total cost
In this work, an algorithm is proposed to determine the power selection of a transformer in order to obtain a minimum total cost, considering those corresponding to energy losses, life losses due to aging, maintenance and interest cost. Once the algorithm was formulated, a Matlab program was designed to perform the calculations and thus obtain the minimum cost condition. The scope of this work is only limited to the selection of industrial transformers with ONAN (Oil Natural Air Natural) cooling.
