Physical-chemical analysis of the water treatment system to obtain steam applied in the decaffeinated coffee process
This research project aims to evaluate physical-chemical parameters of water treatment in a plant in which the water decaffeination method is used. Daily physical-chemical analyzes will be carried out on each piece of equipment in the company's laboratory, where it will be identified whether the water is in optimal conditions to guarantee the appropriate quality of the steam used in the decaffeination process; It is of utmost importance that each piece of equipment within the water treatment system undergoes an analysis; these analysis methods are a fundamental tool to define the physical and chemical quality of the water. Based on the results of the analysis of the physical (pH and conductivity) and chemical (alkalinity, phosphates PO4, chlorides CL- and hardness) state of the water examined over a period of two months The content of this work describes the procedures to carry out measurements and determinations of the physical and chemical properties of water samples, through the use of exact quantities of the reagents and solutions in order to obtain calculations in the established ranges, as well as the implementation of a work control on the management of water samples
