Urinary Bladder Volume Monitor: Bioimpedance ApproacH
This paper presents a novel device for non-invasive measurement of urinary bladder volume using bioimpedance techniques. The device leverages changes in abdominal impedance to estimate bladder volume, a critical parameter for patients requiring urinary monitoring, such as those with urinary retention or post-surgical care. Existing methods are often bulky and unsuitable for portable use, demands the need for a more practical solution. Our system integrates a compact bioimpedance measurement circuit, achieving accurate and real-time volume estimation through calibration with known values. This innovative approach addresses the challenges of size, complexity, and user-friendliness, ensuring its applicability in various clinical and home-care settings.
