Design and Modeling of Roof Top Integrated PV for Laboratory Building
Rooftop solar systems, which include solar modules, inverters, electrical accessories, and mounting systems, offer a viable solution for meeting electrical energy requirements. The proposed prototype is meant for improving the efficiency in the energy moving from source towards the load. When there more solar panels exist probably more energy will exist. But the main idea of the proposed project is to maintain the energy even though if solar panels are less in count, it will supply the constant power as per the requirement. This prototype is not using solar panels over the roof tops of building, integrating the photovoltaic cells in the roof of the building itself. In order to increase renewable resource and to reduce non-renewable resource uses this kind of prototype is one of the good system. PV cells have a complicated relationship between the environment and produced power. Fill factor is the parameter which is given as power (maximum) divided by the product of <tex xmlns:mml="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" xmlns:xlink="http://www.w3.org/1999/xlink">$\mathbf{V}_{\mathbf{o}\mathbf{c}}$</tex> and short-circuits current <tex xmlns:mml="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" xmlns:xlink="http://www.w3.org/1999/xlink">$\mathbf I_{\mathbf{s}\mathbf{c}}$</tex>. (Form Factor = <tex xmlns:mml="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" xmlns:xlink="http://www.w3.org/1999/xlink">$\mathbf {Power/(V}_\mathbf {oc}^* \mathbf I _\mathbf {{sc})}$</tex>. Energy obtained from solar is the main source of clean energy which does not have any harmful effect. Urbanization is happening in every part of world which has led to big changes in housing. But the available land for installation of large solar plants is very difficult due to fast urbanization and occupation of big buildings. So it is proposed that integrating solar cells with the building make the building as smart building and meeting the energy requirement of the building itself.
