Enhanced Mode Measurement of Vortex Electromagnetic Wave Based on Aperture Symmetry
The accurate mode measurement of the vortex electromagnetic wave is the basis of the demodulation of vortex electromagnetic waves. However, the hollow divergence characteristic of the vortex electromagnetic wave makes the traditional mode measurement method with full aperture reception difficult to apply in practice. Although the mode measurement method with partial aperture reception can save space resources, it leads to the degradation of demodulation performance. Considering the aperture symmetry property of vortex electromagnetic waves, an improved mode measurement method with virtual full aperture reception is proposed. Simulation results show that low space resource cost and low bit error rate can be achieved by employing the proposed method for the demodulation of vortex electromagnetic waves. In addition, compared with existing mode measurement methods with partial aperture reception, the proposed method has better communication performance.
