Teatr dobry na wszystko – między dydaktyką a glottodydaktyką polonistyczną

Theatre provides many educational benefits. A new Polish educational reality encourages combining the teaching of Polish as a native language and as a foreign language. The author explains the importance of theatre education and the needs of learners with migration experience. Then she describes the work on preparing the adaptation and staging of Krzyżacy [The Knights of the Cross] by Henryk Sienkiewicz, adapted to the needs of foreigners learning Polish as a foreign language. The author hopes that describing the experience will become an inspiration for Polish teachers in primary and/or secondary schools to create their own theatre projects following the needs of their pupils – both Polish and foreign. It is important to act less schematically, creatively crossing the boundaries of the literary text. This frees the subjectivity of the participants in the educational process.
