Optimal Firefighting Robots Deployment Within A Building Using The PSO
In this study, an optimization problem for determining the optimal positions of firefighting robots in a building is presented to maximize robots' coverage within a building floor then this lead to minimize response time to potential fire incidents. The problem is framed as a continuous optimization problem, incorporating constraints related to the maximum distance from fire exits and the minimum spacing between robots. To address this, a Particle Swarm Optimization algorithm is designed, and its performance is assessed using MATLAB. The findings highlight the method's effectiveness in determining optimal deployment strategies for firefighting robots, which could result in substantial improvements in fire response times and overall building safety.
