Assessment Of Managing Non-Perio Related Treatments By Ongoing MDSPeriodontist Students: A Questionnaire Survey

Background: -Periodontics is a branch of dentistry which deals with diseases of bones and gums of tooth.Though there is no doubt that, periodontists can manage other treatments too. Materials and Methodology:A questionnaire was distributed to postgraduates from department of periodontology and Implantology, at a multiple conference gathering in India following convenience sampling technique.Results: Obtained results were a positive response, over 50% of all study questions with one having a positive response of 100% followed by a response rate of 85% and 70% respectively. Conclusion:-Future periodontists can manage all non-perio related procedures as they have basic skills as well as knowledge regarding gums, bones and other periodontal related structures.
