Artisans’ quality of life in the Camino Real de Campeche, México
The objective of this article was to identify, from the perception of artisans of Camino Real de Campeche, the most important factors that contribute to their quality of life in the municipalities of Calkiní, Hecelchakán and Tenabo, in the state of Campeche. Although the study focuses on these three municipalities, the methodology could be replicated in other contexts with the corresponding adaptations. This research provides a basis for developing effective strategies to improve artisans’ quality of life through qualitative research, with a nonexperimental cross-sectional design, with an intentional sampling conformed by 22 artisans, applying a semi-structured interview guide for contributing to the understanding of those artisans’ quality of life, identifying improvement areas and proposing solutions for their well-being and sustainability.
