ASSESSMENT METHODS AND WAYS TO REDUCE INDIVIDUAL FIRE RISK DURING TRANSPORTATION OF FIRE AND EXPLOSIVE SUBSTANCES BY ROAD
The article discusses approaches to assessing individual fire risk for a tanker truck driver and for people in a residential area near a highway when transporting fire and explosive substances by road. Special attention is paid to the practical aspects of reducing the risk of fire or explosion during the transportation of dangerous goods. When choosing measures to reduce the risk of transportation, the authors propose to take into account the influence of factors in all four directions of «driver-car-road-environment» simultaneously, since the use of a point-factor approach makes it possible to determine ways to reduce fire risk when transporting fire and explosive substances by road by assessing its changes taking into account the various effects of a system of factors. The results of the study can be useful for specialists in the field of fire safety, as well as for organizations involved in the transportation of fire and explosive substances.
