COMPARATIVE ANALYSIS OF EMERGENCY SITUATIONS AT FACILITIES FOR THE PRODUCTION, STORAGE, AND SHIPMENT OF LIQUEFIED NATURAL GAS AND LIQUEFIED PETROLEUM GAS

This article provides a comparative analysis of emergency situations at the facilities for production, storage, shipment of liquefied natural gas and liquefied petroleum gas. The purpose of this study is to summarize and systematize the available data on the processes of emergency situations and to identify the peculiarities of their development for small-, medium- and large-capacity production facilities. Analytical studies were carried out using the scenario approach at the enterprises operating process units of different capacities. The analytical results obtained can be used to develop and implement appropriate safety measures at potentially hazardous gas chemical and gas processing facilities, including those with large liquefied natural gas turnover.
