Cutaneous metastases account for 1–10% of all metastases. Carcinoma en cuirasse, a form of cutaneous metastasis, manifests with hardened and erythematous skin lesions and should be differentiated from other entities such as infection and dermatitis. Here, we present a case of metastatic breast cancer presenting as carcinoma en cuirasse, which was initially misdiagnosed as herpes zoster.
