Association between Static Postural Alignment of Lower Limbs and Hip Pain in Dancers
This is an analytical, cross-sectional, and prospective population-based study conducted with 346 dancers of both sexes, each with at least five years of ballet experience. The dancers were assessed during the 2023 Joinville Dance Festival and divided into two groups: Those with hip pain (n = 132) and those without hip pain (n = 214). The following instruments were used: Anamnesis to characterize the sample; DIPA© software (Digital Image-based Postural Assessment) to evaluate static alignment; and HAGOS-Br (The Brazilian Hip and Groin Outcome Score) to assess hip pain. The t-test and Mann-Whitney test were used to compare the groups with and without pain; Pearson's chi-square test was used to identify the association between static alignment and pain.
