Modeling of Magnetic Anomaly Signals for Underwater Unexploded Ordnance MK13 and MK26

Detecting and identifying underwater unexploded ordnance is vital for the safety of marine engineering constructions. This study constructs models of MK13 and MK26 mines based on their physical dimensions and ferromagnetic characteristics. Static detection tests were performed on the mine models using a G882 magnetometer under various conditions, calculating the models' magnetic moments and simulating the three-dimensional distribution of the mines' magnetic anomaly signals in space via MATLAB. Comparing actual and simulated signals reveals that both are fundamentally similar in shape, with slight discrepancies in signal distance and a maximum amplitude difference of about 20%. The findings validate the model's accuracy and demonstrate the effectiveness and reliability of magnetic detection technology, providing crucial parameters for underwater UXO detection projects.
