Design and Fabrication of High Sensitivity Multi Frequency Underwater Acoustic Transducers
In the field of marine exploration, responders are mostly used in shallow waters, with short transmission distances, low transducer sensitivity, and a single operating frequency, resulting in high costs and low efficiency in oil exploration work. Therefore, it is necessary to design an underwater acoustic transducer that combines high sensitivity, multiple frequency points, and strong shock resistance. This design uses piezoelectric ceramic tubes made of lead zirconate titanate, with resonance frequencies of 19.8KHz and 28.8KHz, sensitivity of -187.08dB, and sound source level of 190-194dB. The test results show that the designed underwater acoustic transducer has high emission sound source level and reception sensitivity, which improves the communication distance of the responder. In addition, this design can continue to increase the number of resonance points to achieve more responders responding simultaneously, and has scalability.
