Research on a Novel Universal Current Transformer Ratio Calibration Measurement without Power Cut

With the continuous development and complexity of the power system, the demand for accurate measurement and monitoring of power flow is increasing day by day. However, traditional verification methods based on current transformers have limitations in application, such as low detection efficiency, the need for power outages, and susceptibility to harmonic interference. In order to overcome the above difficulties, this article proposes a universal current transformer magnification verification method that combines wireless transmission, flexible coils, and harmonic analysis techniques. Then, ratio verification experiments were conducted on 35kV and 10kV current transformers to simulate harmonic interference of different orders by inputting harmonic components, and to test the harmonic analysis capability of the proposed method. In addition, the universality of the cable testing method is achieved by equipping cables with circular cross-sections and smaller cross-sectional areas. The experimental results show that the proposed method can accurately measure the transformation ratio error of current transformers without the need for power outage, verifying the superiority of this method in improving verification accuracy and universality.
