Primaquine-induced Methemoglobinemia with Normal G6PD Levels
Abstract Methemoglobinemia is a rare but serious condition characterized by elevated methemoglobin levels, which impairs oxygen delivery to tissues. It can be induced by various factors, including medications. This report presents a case of primaquine-induced methemoglobinemia in a 26-year-old female with normal G6PD levels. We highlight the importance of clinical awareness, prompt diagnosis, and appropriate management to prevent potentially life-threatening complications.
