Clinical case of effective surgical treatment of chronic capsular block syndrome
The article provides an analysis of effective surgical treatment of chronic capsular block syndrome, which developed in a patient more than 10 years after phacoemulsification of age-related cataracts with intraocular lens (IOL) implantation. The patient underwent sequential separation of the anterior capsule from the IOL, followed by removal of the contents of the capsular bag using an irrigation-aspiration system. Thanks to the treatment, high visual acuity was achieved and optimal contact of the IOL with the posterior capsule of the lens was formed during an unreactive course of the postoperative period. Keywords: chronic capsular block syndrome, phacoemulsification, age-related cataract, intraocular lens
