Study on Power Density Enhancement of Coupling Mechanism of WPT System Under S-S Topology

The traditional limited charging system has gradually failed to meet the various power needs of electric vehicles, and the wireless energy transmission technology, with its high efficiency, safety, flexibility and convenience, is gradually becoming an effective solution for electric vehicles in complex power scenarios. This paper comprehensively analyzes the problem of low power density of electric vehicle wireless charging technology in practical application. The electromagnetic analysis method and loss analysis method of three aspects, such as wireless charging compensation network, coupling mechanism coil structure and coupling mechanism magnetic pad, are given. And through simulation experiments, it is verified that the volume of the coupling mechanism is reduced by 10.78%; the occupied space is reduced by 6.54%; and the mass is reduced by 11.60% after suitable magnetic core replacement. The feasibility of nanocrystalline materials in improving the power density of the coupling mechanism is demonstrated.
