Refining Ultrasound Imaging Quality Using SSIM & Advanced Artifact Removal Methods
Ultrasound imaging also known as sonography; is a medical diagnostic technique that uses high frequency sound waves in human body and creates an image. But sonography is also faces problem such as noise, Artifacts and resolution limitation. Here we propose a new method to enhance sonographical imaging by effectively designing both the structural similarity index (SSIM) and peak signal-to-noise ratio (PSNR). Measurement: PSNR (SSIM for artifact removal) In experiments with clinical ultrasound datasets, we observe an improvement of image quality. We have achieved up to 25% improvement in SSIM scores, as well improvements of artifacts by over 40%, and finally PSNR values boosted at some points higher than the better reference solution. The framework we introduce facilitates in promoting our diagnostic capabilities and ultimately patient outcomes.
