The Contribution of Strategic Information Systems to Organizational Transformation and Change
The present research looks at the crucial role that Strategic Information Systems (SIS) play in promoting organizational transformation and change in the IT industry. In-depth interviews with 10 IT specialists and organizational executives are used in this research to examine important aspects, difficulties, and best practices related to SIS deployment. Important conclusions show that effective SIS deployment requires robust executive backing, thorough staff training, and strategic alignment with corporate objectives. Organizational culture also has a big influence on SIS integration, particularly collaborative vs hierarchical structures. While collaborative cultures encourage change, hierarchical structures cause resistance. Data security hazards, employee resistance, and technological complexity are often noted obstacles, and mitigating techniques including access restrictions and compliance checks have proven successful. Phased rollouts, continuous training, and constant strategic alignment are crucial, according to lessons learned from both successful and failed deployments. Organizations looking to use SIS to improve flexibility, control risks, and gain a competitive edge in the fast-paced business world of today will benefit greatly from these insights.
