Ultra-Low-Power Multiplexer Structures Targeting Efficient QCA-Circuit Designs
QCA technology is becoming a strong alternative for circuit implementation, offering advantages like improved energy efficiency, higher integration density, and faster switching speeds. In this work, we introduce two energy-efficient designs for 2×1 multiplexers (MUX) within the QCA framework, which are then used to build basic gates, a 4:1 MUX, and a full adder. These new MUX designs significantly reduce power consumption compared to existing designs while maintaining or improving performance in terms of area and latency. These MUX structures provide energy-efficient alternatives to traditional majority-based designs in QCA, paving the way for creating more complex and efficient circuits.
