Privacy-Preserving Feedback System Using Ring Signatures for Secure Authentication

In this era of digital communication and online platforms, the requirement for privacy and security in user interactions has increased. Conventional authentication methods, while effective at verifying users, often compromise anonymity, exposing individuals to potential privacy threats such as identity theft and unauthorized tracking. This paper discusses an approach for a feedback system that employs the Elliptic Curve Cryptography-based Ring Signature Scheme to attain both anonymity and authentication simultaneously. The algorithm proposed here can be combined with a system in a way that where users can submit their feedback without revealing their own identity while ensuring that only those users who are legitimate and authentic can participate. By leveraging the unique properties of the Ring Signature Scheme, which enables any one member of a group to anonymously sign a message on behalf of the group, the system safeguards user privacy while preventing false use by unauthorized users. The paper provides an analysis of the system's security mechanisms, detailing the key generation, signcryption, and verification processes. The experimental results shows that the proposed algorithm is not only secure in nature but also achieves better efficiency and time performance compared to existing anonymous feedback mechanisms. This solution offers a robust alternative to traditional systems, fostering trust in digital platforms while protecting user privacy.
