Game-based Assessment of Collaborative Skills

Collaborative skills plays an important role in the social development in the 21st century, attracting considerable global attention. However, as a complex, process-oriented capability, collaborative skills is difficult to measure with traditional assessment methods. The present study aims to propose a game-based approach for the assessment of collaborative skills. Digital games establish a collaborative learning environment, evaluating collaborative skills from cognitive and social perspectives. The findings suggest that employing games for assessment could present a viable approach to evaluating students’ collaborative skills.
