Game-Theoretic Approaches to Data Clustering - A Survey
Data clustering is a widely researched discipline, yet lacking a unique solution for all clustering problems has stimulated many research efforts using several techniques. This study offers a survey of game-theoretic approaches to data clustering, providing an overview of the critical methods using cooperative and non-cooperative games in the data clustering problem. Our work primarily aims to assist researchers by compiling essential work in the field while giving some insights about the nature of the research and achieved results. We explore various models, their applications, and how they compare to traditional clustering techniques. By analyzing the strengths and limitations of these approaches, we provide a good understanding of game theory's contribution to advancements in data clustering.
