Image Encryption Using Higher Dimension Chaotic Systems for Enhanced Image Security

Encryption is the most powerful technique for securing information in communication and information technology. A high-dimensional (hyperchaotic) image encryption scheme based on dynamic DNA has been developed to provide adequate security measures for the cryptographic method and to increase the complexity of the chaotic system. The suggested work overcomes previous approach inefficiencies by featuring a cryptosystem based on zig zag scrambling, five-dimensional (5D) hyper-chaotic, six-dimensional (6D) hyperchaotic, and dynamic-DNA encoding mechanism. The proposed model generates a scrambled image using zig-zag scrambling, and a 5D hyperchaotic sequence is used to shuffle the image pixel position for increased security. The image is then diffused using a 6D hyperchaotic system with a Unix time stamp to enhance security. The diffused image is DNA encoded to generate the encrypted image. The suggested algorithm, validated with comprehensive simulation data, demonstrates its resilience to several types of attacks, thereby confirming its effectiveness and security in real-world scenarios.
