A Fast-Settling Hybrid Adaptive On-Off-Delay Compensation for Series-Series Wireless Power Receivers

A resonant regulated rectifier $\left(R^{3}\right)$ with fast-settling hybrid adaptive on/off-delay compensation is proposed for series-series wireless power receivers (RX), enhancing power conversion efficiency (PCE) and power driving capability. The proposed off-delay compensation, based on an offset voltage locking technique, achieves accurate and instant compensation. Additionally, the on-delay compensation, utilizing an edge cross-trigger circuit, provides instant correction with a simple circuit architecture. The proposed RX was implemented in a $0.18-\mu \mathrm{m}$ CMOS process. Simulation results show a $5-\mathrm{V}$ regulated output with up-to-7W output power. The peak PCE of 94.8% was achieved with the proposed hybrid adaptive on/off-delay compensation.
