Wearable Capacitive Ostomy Bag Sensors Using Flexible Polyester Fiber Electrodes Inspired by the Dielectric Characteristics of Excreta
Patients undergoing enterostomy need to wear an ostomy bag and change it periodically, which has many negative impacts on them. Therefore, it is of great significance to develop a simple and effective stoma bag detection technology. In this Article, a flexible and wearable capacitive ostomy bag sensor is proposed. It can detect the excretion process of the simulated excretions (water and water and flour mixture). In addition, a complete ostomy bag detection system is designed to achieve alarm and data recording. This work provides an effective technical solution for ostomy bag detection.
