It is with enthusiasm that I introduce The Journal of Precision Medicine: Health and Disease, to the diverse community of researchers, clinicians, engineers, and technologists that comprise the broad field of precision medicine. As your inaugural editor-in-chief, I am delighted to be involved in the launch of a dedicated platform for advancing the field of precision medicine through the integration of cutting-edge discovery research and translational science. While tools, technologies, and approaches are changing fast, we expect that the novel scientific insights and mechanisms published in the Journal will stand the test of time and pave the way for new fields, disciplines and follow up studies.
