Renewable energy for monitoring system of tea plantation
This Monitoring system for tea plantation can be utilized to check the maturity and area condition. The system can be developed using IP camera and intermediary devices for networking. For future use, the output of this monitoring system can be processed for wide features such as determining harvest time, tea plant disease analysis, and more. However, in order to turn on those devices, the monitoring system requires adequate power. Finding a power source in a tea plantation area is a problem for this system. Therefore, it needs independent power sources such as solar panels. It converts sunlight to electricity. The solar panels are also part of renewable energy systems that it can mitigate the negative environmental impacts. This study aims to build solar panels and analyze the output to support the monitoring system. It also uses Ohm’s law approaches to determine the need for power. The hardware involved in building the proposed system is a solar charge controller (SCC), battery, and solar cell. The proposed system produces an average power of 7 Watts and a current of 0.34 A. The measurement is conducted in various conditions, such as cloudy, rainy, and full sunlight. The proposed system is adequate to fill the need for a monitoring system.
