Impact of Financial Literacy on Behavioural Intentions Towards Digital Banking Using TAM: A Study in Presence of Personality Traits
The main purpose of the study is to propose and test a model to better understand the role of financial literacy in forming behavioural intention towards digital banking by using TAM model in presence of big five personality traits. Structural Equation Modelling (SEM) was identified as most suitable and sophisticated mechanism to test the hypotheses. The SEM had applied in two levels; one is measurement model and the other is structural model. Perfect model fit according to the standard thresholds was achieved in both of these levels. Process add-in was used to calculate the mediation effect in the model. Finally, detailed analysis was presented. Results of the study indicate that the financial literacy of the respondents had significant and positive impact on personality traits. Further in the study, the mediation role of personality traits between financial literacy, ease of use and useful is measured. The test results proved that the mediators had partial mediation effect in the model. Further, the proposed and tested model in the study found to be empirically robust. Findings of present study provide more useful and valid inputs to the policy makers of banks. The bankers can adopt key strategies to increase financial literacy among the public.
