A Study on the Corresponding Forms of Chinese WH-conditional Construction in Korean

This paper delves into the structure and semantic features of Chinese WH-conditional construction in modern Chinese, and analyzes their corresponding expressions in Korean. Through systematic analysis, the paper reveals the diversity of Chinese WH-conditional construction, which include five main structural types. These types establish rich semantic relationships through the repetitive use of question words. In terms of semantic features, the paper emphasizes echoic dependency, conditional dependency, and unbounded quantity variability. These features collectively express complex logic and semantic content. Moreover, although there is a lack of direct corresponding structures in Korean, this study finds that similar semantic expressions can be achieved through specific grammatical means, such as connective suffixes and dependent nouns. This research not only enriches the understanding of Chinese WH-conditional construction but also provides theoretical support and practical guidance for Chinese-Korean translation practices.
