THE EUROPEAN UNION AND TERRORIST THREATS: THE NEXT STEP (PART IV)
The first three parts of the series of articles describing changes in the perception of terrorist threats from the European Union level has been presented an outline of new approach to this issue. As well as regulations unifying the issues of combating and counteracting the financing of terrorism, and finally changes that occur in the Schengen acquis and in the entire legislative matter relating to broadly understood police cooperation. It is time to take a closer look at institutional issues, like the role of Europol, the collection of air passenger data (PNR), and ways of dealing with terrorist content on the Internet. The last two tasks are carried out by dedicated entities in each EU country.
