Modeling of the Retaining Wall Structure Reinforced with Metamorphosed Clay Soil

Statement of the problem. In order to increase the strength characteristics of retaining walls, the problem of their design using weak soils, dispersed silicate bricks, and concrete is considered. Results. An example of modeling the characteristics of retaining walls reinforced with metamorphosed clay soil in places of the bulk layer using secondary silicate is shown. The paper shows one of the ways of using silicate gas and weak soil; a design scheme of a massive retaining wall is created; the basic geometric and mechanical parameters of a massive retaining wall are calculated; the coefficient of stability margin is determined based on numerical analysis. Conclusions. The design of the mechanical characteristics of terrain modification objects, their influence on natural and reinforced foundations, make it possible in road construction to increase the working and temporary loads from transport systems, expanding the working spaces of urban areas and agglomerations. The possibility of designing a relief for the construction of pavement foundations is shown. The location of the center of the general deformation in the proposed solution from the enclosing layer at a distance exceeding the height of the retaining wall significantly increases the stability of the system, which contributes to higher reliability of the entire road structure.

Abstract

Statement of the problem. In order to increase the strength characteristics of retaining walls, the problem of their design using weak soils, dispersed silicate bricks, and concrete is considered. Results. An example of modeling the characteristics of retaining walls reinforced with metamorphosed clay soil in places of the bulk layer using secondary silicate is shown.
