A Coupling - Patterned Microstrip Patch Antenna for X-Band Applications

In this new era of wireless communication technology, the design and analysis of microstrip patch antennas for X-band applications, which connects billions of people and machines for radar and satellite applications, is a pervasive practice. The proposed antenna measures 24mm by 18mm and consists of a 1.57mm thick FR4 substrate. The substrate's dielectric constant is 0.0009, and its relative permittivity is 2.2. A 50-microstrip line delivers the excitation. The evaluation and simulation of the antenna's performance took place using ADS 2020. The X-band applications operate over a frequency range of about 8 to 11 GHz, where the return loss is -10 dB. Its emission pattern is consistent, ranging from 5.28 dBi, providing an average gain that is more prominent and highly suitable for X- band satellite applications.
