Design and Analysis of 5 GHz Power Amplifier for n79-5G New Radio Frequency Band Applications
The Power Amplifier (PA) is a major block in the design of User Equipment (UE) of a wireless frequency spectrum band. This work is used to design PA circuit for an n79-5G NR frequency band with an uplink/downlink frequency of 4400–5000 MHz. The PA circuit is operating at a frequency of 5 GHz for Wi-Fi-based high precision and high-speed applications. The n79-5G NR band uses a 20 MHz bandwidth and a total of 24 non-overlapping channels supporting IEEE 802.11x Wi-Fi standards. The PA circuit is designed by using Cadence tools using 45 nm Technology with MOS transistor technology. The circuit uses an input of 5 dBm power and produces an output of 15.89 dBm with a 50 impedance matching. The Periodic Steady State (PSS) Analysis with S-parameters is analyzed for a power range of-30 to 10 dBm using load-pull contours.
