An Effective Ideological and Political Course Learning System Based on Spring and Vaadin Framework

In recent years, the universities have developed various management systems to improve the efficiency, but managing student information, ideological and political courses remains complex due to the large volume of students and data. The existing Java Enterprise Edition (JavaEE) framework is utilized, but it has technical issues with the platform and required significant resources to implement. Hence, this research proposes Spring-Vaadin framework to build an application of ideological and political education learning system. Initially, the data is gathered from ideological and political dataset and preprocessed with an application. This application incorporates three layers namely Presentation Layer (PL), as it provides seamless User Interface (UI) through five primary views. Then, Business Logic Layer (BLL) comprises CourseService and UserService to validate the input data by handling user operations. Finally, the Data Access Layer (DAL) executes queries and manages database access, by providing a flexible interface and decoupling the application logic with the help of Relational Database Management System (RDBMS). As per the results, the proposed spring-vaadin framework provided outstanding results in accuracy 0.983, precision 0.972, Root Mean Square Error (RMSE) 0.459 and Mean Square Error (MAE) 1.027 respectively when compared with existing Neural Network based Ideological and Political Education (NN-IPE) model.
