Diagnosing Entrepreneurship, Innovation, and Digital Transformation in Project-Based Organizations
This article aims to propose a corporate diagnostic method for organizational entrepreneurship, the degree of innovation, and the maturity of digital transformation for project-based organizations. For this, it utilized the design science research method due to its practical and applied nature, which seeks solutions for specific problems through the construction of artifacts. A gap was identified in the literature regarding the lack of joint studies on these three topics in project-based organizations, while professionals and entrepreneurs recognize the importance of these constructs but are unaware of tools or diagnostics that can be used to assess their level of development. Based on a literature review, interviews with executives, and a focus group, a diagnostic method was proposed for organizational entrepreneurship, the degree of innovation, and the maturity of digital transformation for project-based organizations. The theoretical contribution of this article lies in relating the three themes in project-based organizations, highlighting the connection between them through strategy, innovation, and customers. For organizational practice, the developed method can be used to support strategies, activities, planning actions, and organizational alignments, generating breadth in replication and the possibility of usability in the organizational context.
