Innovative Multislot Wearable Antenna for Enhanced Breast Cancer Detection
This paper presents the design and performance analysis of a multislot wearable antenna for early breast cancer detection. Operating at a frequency of 2.69 GHz, the antenna uses Teflon as the dielectric substrate. The design incorporates multiple slots and is evaluated using the ANSYS HFSS simulator. A rectangular feed line energizes a rectangular radiating patch, resulting in a compact design measuring 72 mm x 61 mm x 3.5 mm. This design features an innovative inset feed approach and a full ground plane, which improves impedance matching and extends the operational bandwidth. The proposed antenna demonstrates an exceptional return loss of -26.0527 dB, indicating minimal signal reflection and efficient power transfer. Additionally, the antenna achieves a voltage standing wave ratio (VSWR) of 1.1118, signifying near-perfect impedance matching across the operational band. Its outstanding impedance value of 49.8384 <tex xmlns:mml="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" xmlns:xlink="http://www.w3.org/1999/xlink">$\Omega$</tex> at the resonance frequency, further underscores the antenna's efficient power handling capabilities.
