Pentingnya Memahami Partenogenesis dan Evolusi pada Pembelajaran Biologi dalam Konteks Kurikulum Merdeka

Understanding parthenogenesis is understanding an alternative way animals reproduce asexually where females produce eggs that develop without fertilization. Parthenogenesis is evidence of a form of reproductive adaptation when the environment does not allow sexual reproduction. The understanding of parthenogenesis, which initially existed in the 2013 curriculum, became absent in the independent curriculum. This research aims to review the importance of understanding parthenogenesis and its relation to evolution in biology learning. This research uses a literature study method based on journals, books, and other relevant sources. Understanding parthenogenesis and evolution is needed and supports in understanding some advanced biology materials, especially for practical applications in modern biotechnology. Therefore, having an understanding of parthenogenesis and evolution is very necessary for students in learning biology. Inquiry learning is considered suitable for teaching this material. With the flexibility in the independent curriculum, it is necessary for students to understand this parthenogenesis material more deeply.

Abstract

Abstrak.
