Development and Verification of the Long Length Screw for Lightweight Modular Telemetry

Telemetry is an essential component in the development of various guided weapons and aircraft. To achieve miniaturization and weight reduction of telemetry, we referenced Integrated Modular Avionics. The currently developed modular telemetry utilizes Long Length Screws, which are longer than standard specifications, to assemble its modules. Ensuring the structural integrity of these Long Length Screws is crucial for the overall safety of the telemetry. This study performs a structural analysis to identify vulnerabilities in the Long Length Screws and evaluates their stiffness characteristics. Several tests are conducted considering the operational environment and mechanical properties. Through these analyses and experiments, the structural safety of the Long Length Screw is verified.
