WAG'ing the dog: Engineered signals to calibrate 4D expectations at Liza, Offshore Guyana
The 2022-23 Stabroek OBN seismic campaign began and ended with surveys over the Liza Field. These surveys served as 4D OBN baseline and monitor surveys, respectively. Between surveys, we deliberately induced pressure and water-alternating-gas (WAG) fluid signals in the Liza reservoirs to appear on the 4D seismic difference. By doing so, we increased the value of our early 4D monitoring program and calibrated our modeling to support future monitoring across the Stabroek Block.
