Determining the value of 4D: An East Coast Canada example

Described is a method to determine the value of 4D, to determine if a 4D survey is cost competitive against alternate investments. We show how we generated a 4D value model, and how we ran it through the field economic model. By having 4D seismic and drill wells in the same economic language it allows for a more informed capital spend decision.

Abstract

Described is a method to determine the value of 4D, to determine if a 4D survey is cost competitive against alternate investments. We show how we generated a 4D value model, and how we ran it through the field economic model. By having 4D seismic and drill wells in the same economic language it allows for a more informed capital spend decision.
