Using a multiclient approach for effective reservoir monitoring

On a recent Multiclient project in the Gulf of Mexico (US), Viridien and Sercel completed the successful acquisition of a 4D OBN survey, addressing positioning challenges by reorienting the survey and implementing a unique source acquisition strategy to achieve the required geometric repeatability. This approach was validated ahead of mobilisation through detailed feasibility studies and delivered as part of an integrated solution of technologies and services — from feasibility and design through acquisition.

Abstract

On a recent Multiclient project in the Gulf of Mexico (US), Viridien and Sercel completed the successful acquisition of a 4D OBN survey, addressing positioning challenges by reorienting the survey and implementing a unique source acquisition strategy to achieve the required geometric repeatability. This approach was validated ahead of mobilisation through detailed feasibility studies and delivered as part of an integrated solution of technologies and services — from feasibility and design through acquisition.
