Ultra-deep water 4D monitoring — 10 years of ocean bottom node acquisitions in Santos Basin

This paper presents a time-lapse seismic study performed on a deepwater play in the Santos Basin, offshore Brazil. Through advanced processing algorithms, challenges including poor coupling and noise, water velocity variations and source differences are addressed. Results indicate successful detection of the subtle 4D signal.

Abstract

This paper presents a time-lapse seismic study performed on a deepwater play in the Santos Basin, offshore Brazil. Through advanced processing algorithms, challenges including poor coupling and noise, water velocity variations and source differences are addressed. Results indicate successful detection of the subtle 4D signal.
